A convergence of disciplines and continents

An unusual route into human potential and leadership.

Brahm Memone's working life has crossed disciplines that rarely appear in the same biography. He began in Kenya as a hydro-meteorologist, later trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in England, and subsequently practised as a Chartered Accountant in Canada. His career then extended through large corporate environments and consulting.

Over time, his attention moved increasingly toward the human dimension of organizations. Human behaviour, performance, relationships, coaching and leadership became central to the work. He became an NLP Master Coach and developed his work around the conditions that enable people and organizations to become more than their present circumstances suggest.

The disciplines changed. The instinct did not: look beneath the apparent problem, find the pattern, and understand what is really happening.

The foundation

The Human Lab

Leadership Architect. Through The Human Lab, a Civilizational Architect.

The Human Lab is the foundational inquiry from which Brahm Memone's current work emerges. It examines the human being within the Socioeconomic Construct, and how the structures and institutions within that Construct shape behaviour, opportunity, participation and the possibility of flourishing.

Institutions and economic systems are designed. They are built to optimize for something, and what they optimize for influences what they produce and what they consume in the process.

Value-extractive structures create powerful incentives and conditions that perpetuate value extraction, even when the people operating within them have good intentions. Individual capability alone is therefore insufficient. The conditions themselves must also become the subject of the work.

The inquiry moves across scale without separating the person from the system.

New Dynamism Leadership

New Dynamism Leadership is the leadership architecture that grows out of this inquiry.

It moves beyond leadership as a collection of tactics, techniques or behaviours. Its concern is generative and structural: the conditions within which people exercise leadership, participate, contribute and create value.

The word dynamism does not refer simply to speed, agility or rapid response. It points to leadership capable of remaining effective as people, relationships, organizations and the environments around them continually change.

“I am interested in the questions beneath the obvious answers. Much of what drives human behaviour operates before we stop to examine it. Human beings evolved with powerful survival drives that continue to influence how we behave today. Over time, those same survival imperatives helped shape the Socioeconomic Construct we now live within. We inherit that Construct, are conditioned by it, and participate in perpetuating it. Understanding these forces enables us to move beyond survival-driven reactions to intentionally direct our lives towards human flourishing.”
